Our seasonal mosquito program
The Mosquito, Flea & Tick Program includes up to 10 seasonal applications through the warmer months, weather and pest activity permitting.
You'll see a monthly price in your instant quote, billed in 12 monthly installments. It starts from your measured lawn size, and we confirm the treatment area before your first visit.
Where mosquitoes rest and breed
Resting spots
During the day, adult mosquitoes shelter in shady, humid places: dense shrubs, under decks and porches, ivy and groundcover, and along fence lines and wooded edges.
Breeding spots
They lay eggs in standing water, and it doesn't take much. Clogged gutters, birdbaths, plant saucers, buckets, toys, tarps and old tires can all produce mosquitoes. The Asian tiger mosquito, common around Charlotte, breeds in small containers like these.
You can help by tipping out standing water around your yard at least once a week and keeping gutters clear.
Targeted treatments around your property
We focus treatments on the places mosquitoes rest, such as shrubs, foliage and shaded areas along fences and structures, following product label directions. If we notice standing water, we'll point it out so you can reduce breeding spots.
We use EPA-registered products and tell you when treated areas are dry and ready for kids and pets again.
Mosquito activity depends on weather and nearby breeding sites, including neighboring properties, so no treatment can eliminate every mosquito.
Flea and tick treatments
Fleas and ticks favor shaded, moist spots: leaf litter, tall grass, under shrubs, wooded edges and the places pets like to rest. The same program includes targeted treatments to these areas.
Keeping grass mowed and leaf litter cleared helps too. For protecting your pets directly, talk with your veterinarian.
